Vehicle: Chevolet Cobalt Coupe (silver)
The Cobalt was already on northbound Deerfoot Trail which was congested to a crawl during the rush hour, so the driver dived into the merge lane at 32 Avenue NE. I guess the aim is to get ahead of the few cars that were ahead of him and hope someone let him merge in front. However, another car was already at speed on the merge lane and the cobalt cut right in front of him. The speed differential between the two car was huge. The other car braked hard but it was icy so it slid toward the Cobalt. It was amazing that the other car was able to steer around the Cobalt. I thought it was going to be a huge crash.
